Change Logon Password
Pick a strong, memorable password
Passwords must be at least 14 characters in
length
Passwords must not...
- contain parts of your name or username
- contain words associated with the business e.g. Chester
- have been used before
Recommended method: Randomly pick three uncommon words using a random word generator. This will give you a password that is easy to memorise but hard to guess.

Change your password
To change your password yourself, you must first be logged in. (If you are on a laptop, you must either docked, connected one of the "Staff" wifi networks, or connected to netextender.) Once logged in, press the Ctrl + Alt + Del keys on the keyboard at the same time. This will bring up the following screen:
From this screen, select "Change a password".
Your username will be pre-filled. You must to type your existing password and then type the new password twice and press enter. You will be given a confirmation message that your password has changed.
Please restart after password change to to avoid errors in Outlook and other applications.
Your password to your computer, NetExtender, and to Microsoft services such as Teams, Sharepoint, Email. etc are all linked. If you have work email on your phone, you will be prompted to enter your new password shortly after changing it on your computer.
If you receive a message that the password does not meet the
requirements, please check the requirements above.
If you receive a
message that the domain is unavailable, if you are on a laptop, please
make sure you are either either docked, connected one of the "Staff"
wifi networks, or connected to netextender. If you still cannot change
